Music is one of God's greatest gifts to His creation. Indeed the Scriptures are saturated with songs to the Lord, praising Him for His greatness, holiness and love to us in Christ. As we worship the Lord, our music must be Scriptural, singable, thoughful, logical and beautiful -- and our hymnody and Psalter readings must agree in thought with the theme of the lessons and of the sermon for that service. This page of LPC's site is devoted to hymnody and should be used as a resource by ministers and by choirmasters; we have linked the hymns with biblical texts with the prayer that other Christian churches might benefit from our arrangements of the components of worship. Our choir and musical programs are under the direction of Mary Havard-McCoy.
